COMMON HESITATIONS
Fair Questions,
Straight Answers
Every solicitor we talk to raises the same concerns. They deserve proper answers — here they are.
What about client confidentiality?
It comes first, before any tool is switched on. We only work with AI set up so client information is not used to train the models, and every workflow is built around your professional obligations. Client data stays where it belongs — and if a tool can't meet that standard, we don't use it.
Doesn't AI make things up?
It can — which is why nothing we set up sends anything without you. Treat AI output the way you'd treat a first draft from a capable trainee: fast, useful and always checked. The AI prepares the work; a qualified solicitor reviews and signs off. That rule is built into every workflow we install.
Will it replace me — or my staff?
No. AI is good at the repetitive parts: first drafts, summaries, follow-ups, formatting. It has no judgment, no client relationship and no professional duty — those stay with you. What actually changes is where your team's hours go: less retyping and chasing, more billable work.
I tried ChatGPT and it wasn't much good for legal work.
You're not alone — that's the most common experience, and it usually comes from using a generic tool cold. Generic AI gives generic output. Set up around your practice area, your precedents and your tone, it behaves very differently. That setup is exactly the work we do with you.
I'm not technical. Will I actually use it?
If you can write an email, you can use this. Everything works in plain English, inside the tools you already use — Outlook, Word, your existing systems. And we don't hand you a login and disappear: we sit with you until it's a habit, not homework.
Where does the Law Society stand on AI?
Supportive of careful adoption — not against it. The Law Society of Ireland has published guidance on the use of generative AI in the profession, and the consistent message is supervision, confidentiality and professional judgment. That is precisely how we set things up: AI prepares, the solicitor approves.
